Next Have-A-Go at Carrowmore Archers

Our next Have-A-Go will be held on the 4th of March subject to demand as always. Book early to avoid dissapointment!

Its a great sport suitable for children from around 10 years and adults of any age and any fitness level.

Course alterations.

On Friday David, Tony and Dickon carried out some course maintenance. This means we now have a few fresh targets in new locations on our course so come and try it out!
On that note Dickon intends to be at the poly tunnel for 12am, barring any unforeseen circumstances. See you all there!

Know anyone who would like to try archery?

Our next have a go day is pencilled in on Sunday the 5th of February.

Call David on 083 4004130 to make arrangements to experience this fantastic sport.

We supply all the equipment required. Open to all ages from around 10 years up, a reasonable level of maturity is required to appreciate and act upon the safety issues inherent in this sport. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Cost is €15 per person for one and a half hours of expert tuition, funds raised are used to improve and run the club.

This event is subject to sufficient numbers on the day.

Sunday Meetings.

Dust of your bow and fix a few arrows.

Matthew and I will be at the polytunnel from 12 o’clock most Sundays until further notice.

Do come along and shoot a few arrows around the course if you can.

If you are coming and don’t have a key you may wish to ring and check that plans have not changed . My number is on the contact list. Don’t rely on a Facebook message that may not be checked on a regular basis!

Upkeep and Repairs. Next Friday 3/2/12 10.30am(ish). Come and help!

Due to inclement weather our upkeep and repair day has been put back to Friday 3rd February.

Jobs include such exciting things as polytunnel patching , shed erection, butt replacement, and general tidying.

If any club members are available to help out with various upkeep jobs contact Dickon or David using our contact list.

If weather is miserable then this will be deferred to a more suitable occasion

Course Changes!

Mother nature and some forestry activities have imposed a few course changes at Carrowmore Archery’s woodland field archery course.

Thats what I call good cover.

Ha-ha! .....can't get me now!

Our bear views a fallen tree with some misgivings!

Dead wolf target. Very hard to hit the 'kill' now!

For any members who would like to shoot the course with company, Matthew and I will be there most Sundays on a flexible time basis anytime from 11am onwards, contact me for specific time if you would like to hook up.

Anyone needing a key for new gate at lane entrance can contact David a small deposit for this key is required. If you don’t have this key you can always find a safe place to park on the road and walk up if no other members are there. Don’t block the gate!
