The volunteers at Carrowmore Archery are looking forward to welcoming people of all abilities to our open day on Sunday the 15th of June.

Whats Happening?

We are running 1 hour beginners archery classes starting at 11am with the last class beginning at 4pm (to end at 5pm roughly).

Who can have a go?

Anyone who can pull a 15 pound bow. So a fairly strong eight year old child would be grand. There is no upper age limit so granddad and grandma can try too!

Do we need to bring anything?

We supply all the necessary equipment but you might want to bring a picnic or some sausages for the barbecue.

Free tea and coffee facilities and toilet available.

How much will it cost?

€15 euro or €10 for members of the Disability Group.

This event is being held in co-operation with Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership as part of Sligo being awarded “European Town of Sport 2014” and to bring together all those who come to the Club on a regular basis from the Sports Disability Group plus anyone else who wishes to ‘Have a Go’

We will have fully trained Instructors at the event and have a weather proof training area, so don’t be put off if it is raining. Each session will last for about 1 hour and the prices  include all equipment and insurance.

Welcome to Carrowmore Archers

If you have found your way to our blogsite having already been in touch with us or if you just have a general interest in Archery, does not matter. The fact that you have found your way here means you must have that inner need to establish what the “Robin Hood” experience is all about !

Safety and Fun in that order !!

Archery is all about technique not strength. So all members of the family can participate on an equal footing. If you are a parent, Archery offers you the chance to enjoy a sport with your family rather than just acting as a taxi service to other events!

We hope you will get in touch with us and arrange to come along for one of our “Have a Go” sessions in the near future.
